Internet

Vietnam

On the occasion of meeting old friends, I discovered that we had used online communication applications and social networks so much that we didn't even know that our friends had changed their phone numbers! If at any time necessary, the internet is lost, we will not be able to contact each other!

Ask them for their new phone number online.

We should be like that. Because people often turn off notifications of social networks or internet communication methods at night or during busy times.

Judy is right, send an email or a text message and ask them their phone number.

We did so when we discovered the problem. However, we didn't do that before. A friend of mine was unable to contact the patient's caregiver when she arrived at the hospital at 3 a.m. Because before that, she didn't ask for that person's phone number :(

@tkonlinevn We have so much the habit to use Internet that we forget now to ask the phone number.

If you know their house you can also ask them directly for their number, sometimes we can't rely on the internet when it's completely paralyzed.

That's right. But in some situations we cannot ask right away. I think we should regularly update each other's phone numbers, instead of just communicating via the internet.

But did they finally give you their new number? I'm glad you discovered it earlier.

Yes, of course. We updated each other's phone numbers when we met at the hospital.

It's fascinating how our reliance on online communication has changed the way we stay in touch with friends. It's a reminder of the importance of maintaining multiple forms of contact, like exchanging phone numbers directly, to ensure we can reach each other even if the internet is unavailable. It's always nice to reconnect with old friends, regardless of the communication method!

You know, a friend of mine came from far away to the hospital at 3am. And she couldn't contact her friend who was taking care of the patient. Just because that person's phone number has been changed. She is still in contact with him via social media. But at that time, his phone didn't have internet...

Hmm... better to have their phone number. You can use the Internet to get it. Ask them to mail you or message you. I feel that it is always better to have the phone numbers handy.

In my opinion, we should agree that "if you change your phone number, please notify me!", right? " :)
