I Miss Those Days

Last night was very hot.I was feeling restless.Changing sides on my bed I was recalling my childhood days when I and my father used to sleep outside our house under the old neem tree.
Nights used to starry.Looking at the star studded sky I would listen to my father who would tell me about stars and the stories of our great heros.
Enjoying the pleasantly cool wind I would fall asleep.
Those were the days when in summer all male members of every family in our town would sleep outside their houses.
Our town was very small then.There were no big industries.No crimes either.
I badly miss those days and those nights.
I can't recall when was the last time I saw a star studded sky.Can you??

@greenery8 But those days are gone.Now it is very risky to sleep under stars at night.

@besweet Yes;it's summer here and the temperature is going up everyday.When I was a child; all male members used to sleep outside.It was common in our town.But now it is risky.

It sounds so peaceful back then in nature sleeping outside and no factories or noise only the sounds of the nature for you and the sky so beautiful.
I can imagine it now.
I am so glad you had that precious special time to remember back then and now.
I saw the star studded sky with my Father when I was a child.
You see he was a Merchant Marine on this ships out to sea and when he came home he would show me all the constellations in the sky. I remember.

@RebeccasFarm I understand.People who have seen those days can never forget.Right now I am staring at the sky.It is cloudless;but starless as well.No cool breeze is blowing.The sky is looking black.I can't see a single star there.

@Shivram59 Yes, what happened to the stars I wonder. I understand exactly what you mean..we can never forget it. We are blessed to have those days back then.

@RebeccasFarm I often tell the children of our family they can't even imagine how those days were.You are right;we are fortunate to have those old days.
