I had a $50 Dollar General Gift Card that I got for a survey I took on their new Fresh Marker store in town.
Since I finally got it downloaded to the app I figured we would go ahead and use it to buy some snacks etc for the place we are staying currently.
I got a 6 pack of Chicken Ramen, 3 of the Hormel Compleate microwaveable meals, 5 mix and max mini 5 for 5 candy things, a box of Ding Dongs, a gallon of sweet tea and we got bug spray and it was $30 something dollars. Yes you could argue that we didnt need candy or ding dongs, but you know what- the last several months have been very hard on us, and this is the first time we've really been able to relax for more than a couple hours since Halloween, so I bought them. But still things are expensive and only going up.
Anyway, I'm sure this isn't news to anyone. LOL

Tell me about it. We bought a washer and dryer today, and the prices online varied drasticly from what we saw in-store. We wound up saving a bit more money by going in-person. but the prices still went up about 200 a piece from 8 years ago.

@thislittlepennyearns I went to Best Buy. I wrote a post about it in a bit more detail, but based on the research I did (given this purches was unplanned), I feel like I came out on top. They even offered haulaway for our former set. which is one of the key things I was looking at when buying. I know used sometimes is good, but it's to risky. George and I talked about it, and we decided new would work for us better.

I agree we need enjoy treats every now and then especially when we are going through hard times. I hate that the prices on everything you buy now a days is so high.

Your so right, things are expensive & it's just as you said
