Yesterday I went down town shopping again. I was hoping to go straight to the Oxfam book shop without going to the toilet first, but by the time I got to the top of the path coming from Stowe Pool to the path by Minster Pool I knew I wasn't going to make it all the way round town before going to the loo, so I went to the toilet by the Cathedral first. Then I went to the Oxfam book shop and got rid of my last donation (for now) of DVDs and CDs. Then I went to the art section and I bought 3 more art books. One was Perspective for Artists, which talks all about perspective (hence the name!) It talks about outdoor perspective (street scenes and landscapes), indoor perspective, (the inside of rooms) and still life perspective, how to compose a still life and make sure the objects are in the right position and to scale. It has full painting demonstrations too. That book cost £2.99. The second book was about acrylics, and also had plenty of demonstrations. That book cost £1.99. The third book was about Vincent Van Gogh, his life and works. It has a bit of a biography at the front and then full page reproductions of some of his paintings. That one cost me £1.99. After that I went to the photo expert shop and got 15 more photos printed. It wasn't so crowded today and I got my photos done pretty quickly. It was a different lady who crossed off my squares on my card. There was a lady in with a very gorgeous little doggy. It was small with a curly haired caramel coloured coat. She was very well behaved until it was time for her mistress to go and pay, and then she saw something she wanted under the desk where the till is, and tried to get her head under there, but it wouldn't quite go! Next I went to Holland and Barrett and got 3 packets of liquorice, 2 for me and 1 for my Mum. Then I went to the down town Tesco and got some strawberries and some mini gem lettuce. After that I went to The Works and got some more canvases! 3 large (10' ×12' I think) which cost £4, 6 of the small canvases for £3 and 2 of the square box canvases again for another £3. So that came to £10. I got to the till and handed over my rewards card for the very last time () and said I should have a voucher on there. It was £2.50 so I only had to pay £7.50 for my canvases. Then the lady asked me if I knew the reward scheme was ending, and I said yes, and she asked me if I'd like her to cut the card up for me, and I said, yes, thanks. Next I went to Poundland, which is where Wilko used to be. I wasn't that impressed with it, there wasn't much for me, but I got an A4 display book for £1! Then I went to Iceland and got my Mum's Chinese style chicken curry, sweet and sour chicken, a paella and a packet of 6 mini cakes. Then I treated myself to an areo. I payed for that and then set off for home. I went passed Minster Pool and took some photos of the geese (see above). Then I went to the toilet by the Cathedral again, and then I set off around Stowe Pool. When I got home my Mum was already back from her Home Group at Church. I gave her her change, her Tesco club card and her shopping list. Then I unpacked the groceries and put them away. Then I had my lunch and watched some telly. My friend Yasmin messaged me on Facebook messenger to say that she found her diamond that she lost out of her ring! She said she found it in her bedroom where she gets dressed. What have you lot been getting up to? I hope you are all well. Have a nice day.

@sharonelton I went out and about in Didsbury today with no coat and it rained a lot so I got wet. So all evening I watched Ripley on Netflix. Great atmosphere. Great cinematography. Loved it.

They do sell some interesting books in Oxfam. A few years ago, I went in an Oxfam shop just to have a look around, but I left the shop with a bag full of books. One of these was an art book showing pictures of artwork that had been created by some disabled people . The art in the book was very good especially as some of the artists had to paint with their feet. The book had originally been printed to make money for the artist`s charity.

I'm glad you found some interesting books from the Oxfam shop. That art book sounds very interesting. I read a story about a girl called Joni Eareckson who had a diving accident and was paralysed from the neck down. She painted with her mouth.
