Is the gas bill more expensive in your country?

The gas bill is very high in my country. It doubled recently. It is almost $100 when before it was $50. The usage didn't change. It was warm here and we didn't need to use more gas. This winter was mild. We didn't have a lot of snow. This is very weird. My mom talked to someone who paid more than $100 for two rooms. She has a gas central heating like us. Maybe this economic crisis caused the gas to double.
