Yes, I've just been to the little Tesco, after weeks of letting my mother go!
Before I went out my Mum said it seems to have cleared up, it was a bit cloudy earlier. She gave me her list, Tesco club card and £30 in cash.
When I went out the rag and bone man was going passed shouting Any Old Iron through a megaphone in an alien type voice. Think the fighting machines in War of the Worlds! Further up the road there was a person selling their house and the sale board was from Downes and Daughters, but instead of saying SOLD it said SPOKEN FOR!
As I was walking up the street I felt some moisture in the air. It started ever so slightly spitting. There was a couple infront of me with a dog when I crossed over the road. I didn't manage to catch up with them because they stopped and crossed over the road to go through the gully. I carried on and crossed the road at the end and carried on up in the other direction. When I turned the corner onto the street where the Tesco is it started to spit slightly harder. I upped my pace to get to the Tesco quicker, but it didn't seem to get any harder than that. As I was about to cross the crossing to get to Tesco there was a lorry coming. I thought he was going to go passed, but he beeped his horn and started turning to go into the car park instead, so I crossed over to the Tesco.
I got the 2 TV magazines as usual, then I went to get some cakes for my Mum and Syd. Mum wanted Vanilla custard things from the bakery area where the croissants are. I found them, but there were no bags! I had to try and wrap them up in these sheets of brown paper!
I got Syd his bounty bar and some liquorice allsorts, then I went and got some strawberries and red grapes. Next I got some Alpen with no added sugar for my Mum and 2 bottles of milk. Then I went to pay.
I started packing the things into the trolley as the cashier was scanning them. When she came to the Vanilla custard things she nearly dropped them out of the paper! She said, Oh, sorry love. We're waiting for the bags to come in! I payed for them. It came to just over £16. Then I set off for home.
When I got outside I felt a bit of moisture in the air, but it wasn't exactly raining. As I was going along the road I kept looking in the trolley to make sure that the Vanilla custards hadn't fallen out of the papers. The TV magazines that were carefully placed ontop were keeping them in position!
When I got near to my house the wind was getting up again. It was blowing the tarpaulin on the house over the road where they had the fire before Christmas like nobody's business! I also noticed that the the For Sale sign on the neighbours house had blown over, Infact I think it broke because I'm sure I could see a stump that it was attached too! (This isn't the Downes and Daughters one, that was further up the street.)
I got into my house and the first thing that I did was take the Vanilla custards in and I told my Mum about them not having any bags. I put them on the side in the kitchen. Then I gave Mum her change, Tesco club card and shopping list.
Then I took my coat and shoes off and went to the toilet before I unpacked the groceries and put them away.
Now I'm watching Homes Under the Hammer again.
What are you lot getting up to today?
I hope you are all well.
Have a nice day.

Thank you very much. Yes, I did have a good shopping trip. It didn't rain very hard, it was only spitting, and it didn't really bother me. I didn't get wet.

I hope you enjoyed doing your work in the garden. Lemon poppy seed cake sounds nice. I hope that went well and you enjoy that.
