In Calcutta in India there is severe heat wave. Temperature has gone to 40 degree celsius. There are no indications of norwesters also. There is serious humidity also. While schools of children are going to be shut down next week, those like us who work in universities will have to continue to face the heat till June.

We get to 40C here through our summer but luckily the humidity isn't bad. It makes for trying working conditions.

I know how this feels. We had these temperatures last summer. I felt so sick when there were 40 degrees C.
