In the summer it is difficult to store vegetables and eat

April 24, 2024 11:31pm CST
In Calcutta temperature is around 41 degree celsius. Now many people buy the vegetables from open market and preserve them in refrigerator. While in other plants they remained fresh inside the fridge, now in end of April they are not remaining fresh. Everyday fresh potatoes, brinjals, ladies fingers, papayas are bought.

41 degrees would be pretty hot. Stay hydrated. Take care. It would be better to buy fresh fruits and vegetables and consume them

@sathviksouvik This year it's horrible everywhere including Bangalore. We are expecting a very bad summer as per the prediction.

@sathviksouvik Average summer temperatures are on rise everywhere. One is longing for rains. I wonder how the players are able to play in the IPL matches, even though they happen during the evening time.

Hot weather certainly impacts on vegetables. Potatoes used to last for ages when I was young but now we only buy a few at a time.

Brinjals and LadyFinger vegetables remain fine in Fridge till two days. It is not the case during the winters. So yes, one has to consume such vegetables in a few days else they get spoilt. And once they get spoiled, I neither like the wastage and nor the fact that one has to dispose them off.
