Do you know the name of this tree?

This is the tree we have in our yard. Everyone complains about it. Neighbors complain a lot, my father complains a lot and wants to cut it next week. I wonder if they are exaggerating or if this tree is so bad. This tree is keeping shade for our dog and if he cuts it we will have to pay to create shade for our dog. I searched online and I couldn't find the name of this tree. It is beautiful when it's green.

@LadyDuck This tree never produced nuts. It looks like a black walnut tree indeed. I wish I could find an app for trees.

I will feel sad when it will be cut. It is a bit dry on one side and my father thinks that it will fall.
