Brothel Voyage is book 2 of an alien romance. This one has a lot of funny banter which I love. The main characters are Zedna and Nash long-time friends since their teen years. So yes this is a friends-to-lover kind of book with a bit of fake marriage plan.
Nash has to go home he hasn't been in years and of course he and Zenda toe the boundaries of friendship. Neither wants to tell the other for past reasons that they like each other and would like to try things more romantically.
Nash is an alien who comes from a wealthy family which he knows Zenda doesn't care about. Zenda comes from a poor family of just her mom and baby sister. Zenda is a doctor on the ship that Nash is taking back home. She loves sea creatures especially dolphins which there is a funny bit in the book that has to do with dolphins named Bubbles.

You’re stuck in the no response zone, so I thought I would lift you out. I’ve always wondered if there was a connection between the words BROTH and BROTHEL. I love a hearty soup (broth) in the winter, but would you expect to get it in a brothel? The soup I mean.

Depending on what time you are talking about yes. There are Brothels back in time that not only served drinks, and pretty ladies but also food. Normally you might see an example of this in more of the Norwegian Viking time. I'm sure that they too have something to do with each other. If you think of it during those times leftover good was typically turned into soups or some other type of stew. But should I ask my husband? He is the fountain of useless facts and information.

@ShyBear88 That makes sense. I’m glad I didn’t frequent brothels in my youth. If they served food along with everything else, I’d probably never have left.

@Orson_Kart Ah I believe brothels now are less with the food and more about the body pleasure but the US doesn't have them they are illalge unless your in Vegas its leagle there and they is once. They use to have a show that allowed the house but not any more it was pretty interesting since its mostly the women talking about what they are allowed to do with in the house but can't outside of the house because of state laws.
