Tomorrow I have the last 2.5 hour training after work. It has all been about helping what they now call "multilingual learners" (MLs) to learn both English and subject content. Our district has so many students who have limited or no English that we actually are supposed to have a bilingual program but due to budget issues it cannot afford that. So they offer these voluntary trainings instead. I have to say that they are very informative and well-run. The time does go by quickly. It is too late for me to incorporate most of what I've learned this year with just 15 days left but I will certainly utilize it next year. I will be very happy to fill out that voucher for $475 tomorrow when we are finished.

Bless those who does volunteering, but it would have been great if a budget was actually set for the program. Its good to be able to maintain that kind of program.
