Did You Know Cheese Needs to be Grass Fed?

No. It really doesn't. It's the cow, not the cheese. It is just the way the article I was reading was worded. It said: ".....most raw grass-fed cheeses are....". Most cheeses are nutritious and have such nutrients as vitamin K2 in them. Vitamin K2 can prevent and, in some cases even reverse arterial calcification. This lowers the risk of heart disease. That's why the French have so little heart disease. The fermentation and aging of cheese help to make the protein more digestible. Hard and aged cheeses have healthy fats, one being butyrate which is a guy healing fat. Another one, CLA, helps to burn fat and also has anti-cancer properties. American cheese and Cheese Whiz are both processed and is not a good one to eat. It has vegetable oils and other weird ingredients that are not in real cheeses.

In our family we eat homemade cheese. We get pure milk from our dairy, which contains a lot of cream. We make a curry of cheese and eat in breakfast or lunch. As for processed cheese , we can't be sure what ingredients go with it

I didn't know that. Had I known, I would have eaten a lot of cheese back then. Oh well, looks like I'll start eating some good cheese this time around.

I love cheese. I would love a cheese fondue; but hubby avoids cheese for obvious reasons!!! Enjoy the long weekend.

So, at the end of the day, it's not just about the cheese. It's about knowing what you're putting on your plate and making informed choices. Because when it comes to cheese, not all slices are created equal.
