Yesterday's Pain

Early morning yesterday, I had my dysmenorrhea. I always have during the very first day of my menstruation, but yesterday's dysmenorrhea hits different and it all happened when I was in the office. The pain started shooting around my hips which is normal, but then it started hitting my stomach, knees and ankles to the point of having a hard time standing up. I went to the comfort room and stayed there for a couple of minutes because I could feel myself vomiting. Good thing I didn't. I'm glad the people in the office understood what I was going through. They all let me rest and have a little shut eye because of the pain. I really hate dysmenorrhea.

They are indeed horrible. It just disrupts everything that you plan on doing for the whole day.

I hope you feel better soon. I wonder if our lawmakers have passed the menstrual leave? Because I know there is such a thing.

I felt better after a few hours. Thank you. Unfortunately, our lawmakers hasn't passed that law yet. It's still a House Bill.

I'm feeling better now. Thank you. I also don't know how to describe the level of pain. I just know that it really hurts to move.

I think I had that when I was younger. I would get dizzy and I faint twice because of my cramps. After I faint the second time, my mother got me on birth control and it really has helped. But I am thinking of stopping the pills in November.

People have been offering me pills for my menstrual cramps. I always decline because I really don't want to rely on them.

Dealing with that level of discomfort, especially at work, is never easy. Hopefully, you can find some relief that helps manage the symptoms more effectively in the future. Do you usually have any remedies or treatments that help alleviate the pain?

I usually just drink warm water. If my menstruation started low, I drink any carbonated drink just so that more blood comes out. The lesser the blood comes out on the first day, the more painful it is for me.

How often this happen? Menstruation is no joke for women, some could go on for weeks with no end. Im glad you got office mates who understood your situation.
