Alien Earthlings?

When the Earth is no longer inhabitable and the sea is still full of myths and full of questions too deep to be answered what is our plan? Will we become a multi-planet species? Overcome the hazards and inhospitable areas and make a home on one of the zillions upon trillions of stars out there? A Soviet, Yuri Gagarin was the first man in space back in 1961. In 1962 America had the first man in space. Back then we didn't know what we didn't know. Then came the Apollo 11 in 1969. Four days and some hours on the Moon. Ten more astronauts and then, in 1972, the Apollo program was shut down. But, in 2017 then President Trump signed the Space Policy Directive I which authorized NASA to send astronauts back to the moon. The first moon base was established soon after. NASA is going to utilize $10,000,000,000,000 to build a station on the Moon and then off to Mars. But humans will have to be robotically modified to be able to live and breathe out there. They have a nuclear engine planned to be built by 2027 but, even then time will take its hand in it all. It would take decades to get to other planets so they are experimenting with induced hibernation, cryosleep. Who knows what other inventions they will have mastered in decades to come? Ah, yes. The future looks bright ahead. Traveling to outer space was on my bucket list. Now I find it has happened and we can travel out in space but I can't afford to do it. Do you think our kids will populate another planet? Or their kids? It's rather odd to look to the future and see that this is what is in store for our kids and their kids.

No I don't think anyone is going anywhere. I think people don't know what's coming very soon. Food shortages among one of the tragedies on earth.

I wish we would spend that money on cleaning up our own planet.

It's very possible. Maybe people will populate other plants and they will destroy them too.
