Well, actually, yesterday's, because it's already past midnight! Anyway, my weather app said 13° and no chance of rain, so I didn't bother to put a coat on. We went to the big Tesco and I got rid of the soft recycle as usual, then we went up on the lift. Only one lift was working again today. First thing we did when we got in the main shop was get some flowers again. We got some sweet Williams again today. They have lots of flowers in a bunch and they're only £1.50 each. We got 2.
Then I went to look for a magazine. I got another card making/craft magazine with some rubber stamps included, but just a few today, not a whole A4 sheet. There's also a die and an embossing folder in there that I don't know when I'm going to use.
After that I got 1 bottle of water and 3 prawn layered salads. Thank goodness they were in stock today. Then I went and got some MenoHerb tablets for my peri-menopause. And then I got some pads for my Mum. Then I went back to where my Mum was, by the clothes and I admired a black dress that was there.
Next we went to the fruit and veg section. I got the usual stuff, but I didn't get a red pepper. Instead I got some button mushrooms for my dinner on Friday. I also got some more carrots. My Mum went to look at some ready meals by the other wall but came back without anything as I was getting my yoghurts. I also got 2 bottles of milk for my Mum. Then my Mum got her puddings for Sunday.
Then I got some grated cheese for my Mum and some sesame oil for me, and Mum got some apple sauce and some branston pickle. Then we went to the canned isle and I got a pot noodle for Syd.
After that we went to the cakes section. My Mum didn't need any cakes for tonight because she got a 4 pack of chocolate eclairs yesterday when she went to the little Tesco, but she got a Lemon Swiss Roll cake for the weekend.
We didn't need any crisps or pringles, so I then went straight to the teas and coffees isle and got some Love, Corn. Then I went to the cereal isle and got some honey cheerios for Syd. Then I went to find my Mum and ask her what else she wanted. She said she wanted Ribena, and that was in the same isle as the crisps, which I hadn't gone down because we didn't need crisps! So I had to go all the way back there to get that!
Next we went to the frozen section. I got some vegan magnum ice lollies again. Then we went to the second frozen isle and Mum got some pies, I went and got the battered cod, and Mum got some other stuff. I think she got some lamb shanks. I got my salmon chunks and salmon skewers. Mum got some party stuff too.
Then we went to pay. We were standing in a long queue, but then a young lady came up and said would we like to go to her till, because she'd just opened one, so we did.
After we'd paid and put the groceries in the bags, I looked at my watch and it was still only just after 4:00pm. I had a book to swap today, so I did that while Mum sat on a bench and put her change away. I actually picked up 4 books!
One is an autobiography of Daniel O'Donnell. My Mum likes him. The book is in good condition so I'm going to give that to her for her birthday along with the Andre Rieu DVD that I've already got. I also got a book about how to cope with the menopause! Then there's a small iSpy book of nature. Then, lastly, another crime thriller. I was looking for a Sci-Fi book again but couldn't see one. Except for one that I've already read, which is probably the exact copy I put there anyway!
I went and sat back on the bench with my Mum, not saying anything about the Daniel O'Donnell book! We went down on the lift when it was coming up to 4:25pm. Syd still wasn't there when we got into the underground car park, so.we sat on a bench again for a few minutes.
When Syd came we put the groceries in the boot and went home. When we got home we unpacked the groceries and put them away. Then I had my dinner and watched some telly. Later I did some Facebooking and Tweeting (or should that be Xing?
) Then I put the new flowers out. I will put the old flowers and the offcuts in the garden waste bin tomorrow. After I'd put the flowers out I had one of my vegan magnum ice lollies. Then I read some of my book.
What have you lot been getting up to today?
I hope you are all well.
Have a great night.

Thank you very much. I'm glad you enjoy my little shopping adventures.
Yes, we got everything that we needed this week, thank you very much. And they had restocked the Doctor Who magazines so I wouldn't have missed out if I couldn't get it last week.
