Car Fire Caused by a Water Bottle?

Here in Boise, we are used to the low humidity and dry heat. This seems to set up the water bottles left in cars that can cause fires. Sunlight beams through a window and is focused to a certain point as it reflects through a window and the light is focused long enough to start a fire. Remember the mirror out on the sidewalk burning ants when you were a kid? Same thing pretty much.

@celticeagle Me either. I don't like the taste of it, it's expensive; and you have to recycle the bottles...and the plastic leeches some sort of chemicals.

It's why, even here in Florida, people are warned against leaving clear bottles in cars.

I never buy bottled water but I guess other containers could do the same thing.
