Last night I found three vintage movies on YouTube that looked interesting and decided to watch them. Here is a bit about each one. The Seventh Sin - Made in 1957 this movie had Eleanor Parker, Bill Travers, and George Sanders in it. It was about a married woman who had an affair and when her husband finds out he presents her with a choice: to travel with him to China or face the scandal of a public divorce. She proposes an alternative that turns out to be heartbreaking when she learns her lover won't leave his wife after all. She goes to China with her husband and learns some things about herself. It was a pretty good movie. Lured - This is a 1947 movie with Lucille Ball, Charles Coburn, and George Sanders starring in it. It's the story of a young woman down on her luck who gets a job as a police detective after her friend is murdered. I thought Lucille did a very good job of acting and was pleasantly surprised at her acting ability. This was a good murder yarn. Interrupted Melody - A movie about an opera singer with Eleanor Parker, Glenn Ford, Cecil Kellaway, and Roger Moore starring. Glenn Ford is surprising as the love interest and Roger Moore is the singer's brother. Very good movie. It is the story of Australian opera singer Marjorie Lawrence, her battle with polio, and her eventual career comeback. All entertaining. I think that out of the three the third one was the best even though I can't stand opera.
