I'm not sure this is going to work, but it is a safe link

at least I've never had a problem with it. Now, I'm not sure how many of my friends remember Maggiepie. She was my friend in real life. I met her in 1976 and remained friends, despite some issues, until her death in 2017. During that time, I took her to see her grandmother several times. So, when I opened an email that I will look at most days and a map showed up, I literally froze for several moments. Why? well, her grandmother, who she actually lived with for a bunch of years, lived just outside this tiny, unincorporated village in the piney woods of Louisiana. And I looked at this map and... there it was. The place is called Noble. I understand that after the lake got filled, it became something more than just a sad spot on the road. So, the article this is linked to, is not why I linked it, it is because the map showed something I used to have a terrible time finding on a map before her grandmother died and her mother and aunt moved away from it.

Oh cool! I'll have to go look at it. I'm sure it has changed in the 25+ years since I was last there

I remember your friend. So you were surprised to see Noble so prominently on a map.

Yes I was. I can still see this tiny place, less than 20 buildings and many of them falling down when I was there last in the late 1990s. I may have to go by her grave and tell her...

She could make a mark. She had talent and then wasted it. It hurts sometimes to know it.

Well, why the article was about the fisherman, what I was so surprised about was this tiny, not even a four way stop sign (at least the last time I was there) place was, not only on the map, but displayed so prominently.
