Though I enjoyed having Tom home for a solid week, finding him gone to work this morning was a relief. When he was on vacation and was home for 2 weeks, he spent some days with his friends...so I didn't have him underfoot all day every day. But this has kind of opened my eyes to him retiring. LOL While writing this my mind went to "what if Tom was never here again" THAT would not be good...I would miss him terribly. But for now I will enjoy the quiet.

I don't mind an odd day on my own. I enjoy it.

It’s a good thing you love him or retiring might be tough. I imagine it’s an adjustment for everyone when a person retires, huh.

If tom can and is smart, he can ease into retirment. That's what I had George do. He actually did it, himself if I'm being honest. And, it made the being home all the time barable for the both of us. To an extent. He had the stroke, so we're not as active as we used tto be, but you get the idea.

I was so excited when Mike retired in 2014. He has found things to do which occupies his time most days. I am glad you have a few quiet hours for yourself, we all need that every now and again.

Enjoy your "me" time. I don't like to be alone. Have a good day.
