Sweet Sixteen

My daughters birthday was over the weekend.
She's 16 now, which I just can't wrap my head around.
Maybe it's because she's not here..
Maybe it's just because time seems so slow without her here when it's actually flying by..
I don't know. But it's crazy to me that she's almost 18 already. Though also exciting.. and of course scary.
Anyways, I ordered a trolls cake for her, as thats what my oldest here (almost 2) picked out for her. And then wore my 'happy birthday (insert her name)' personalized shirt I got made years ago for half the day as I then had throw up on me (mommyhood
).
Couldn't really do much else, with her not here. Like every year so far. But it was something I guess. And I loved how I now have other children to help me celebrate her, and letting them pick out her cake to be apart of the day.

Wow 16 already does seem crazy (as you said). Celebrating her with the little ones makes the day even more special.

I'm so happy I can do it with siblings now.. still wish she was here of course, whether the other two were or not.. and that I had more kids years ago but I'll take what I have

your little ones are a blessing but I know it doesn't discount missing your daughter. Hopefully one day you can celebrate together

I love that you always celebrate even though she isn’t with you. I can’t wait for the day she can be there with you again!
