Another big cricket day today.
India square up against England in the semi final of the T 20 World Cup at Providence, Guyana in West Indies.
England won the toss and choose to bowl first.
Interestingly, India wanted to bat first !
A thrilling match on the offing.

Both semi final pitches were dry and low turners. I wonder why?

The first semi final wicket was perhaps too bad.
Second one was slower than what the most West Indian pitches used to be 20 to 25 years back.
Then, except for the Port of Spain (Trinidad and Tobago), other wickets like Kingston, Jamaica, Bridgetown and Georgetown used to be faster, especially the Jamaica one.
Yet now many have variable bounce.
It could be due to the way the pitches are prepared there but I can't pinpoint the reason.

India defeated England by a good margin: 68 runs.
England could not answer the questions posed by the Indian bowlers.
