You hear a lot about DEI in the news, but what is it really? How does it differ from equality? Here are my observations that your nightly news broadcasts won't tell you, but if you are interested in receiving a different, possibly more realistic viewpoint on this topic, you might like to read this... ***THE DEI PHILOSOPHY- DIVERSITY, EQUITY AND INCLUSION -It seems with the introduction of DEI in business, politics, colleges and every other facet of our lives, this flawed philosophy (in my view) has become accepted and perpetuated by the Biden administration and many Democrats in the name of "equality" as one way to gain votes. HERE ARE SEVEN ARGUMENTS AGAINST USING DEI: 1. DEI is a flawed concept using the words equality and equity to mean the same thing. Even Socialist Democrat Bernie Sanders (on the Bill Mahr show) could not define what the term "equity" means and admitted this idea is a misappropriate definition. He preferred to support the meaning of "equality" over the term equity. 2. "Equality" is providing the same opportunity for everyone regardless of race, ethnicity or background. But using "Equity" in hiring is like saying that everyone has the same qualifications and abilities, and instead, we should use race or some other outward appearance as the only consideration for any position. That's just not true. People have different IQ's and credentials and hiring by diversity rather than merit does not ensure the best job candidates will be chosen. *This quote by Martin Luther King Jr puts that argument somewhat into perspective: "I look to a day when people will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character." -Somehow, instead of moving forward to look beyond outward appearance we have regressed and misconstrued Reverend King's quotation. *For example, in nominating a Supreme Court Justice Biden used skin color and sex as his primary qualifications for the position. In paraphrasing his own words, he said the person must be African American and female. 3. This DEI philosophy has had detrimental effects on education as seen in college acceptances and the hiring of School Presidents where academics are being replaced by checking a diversity box. *A good example is former Harvard President Claudine Gay who was found to have plagiarized a good portion of her academic writings. Many academic presidents have had many books published in addition to numerous journal papers during their academic careers. Gay has not had one book published and only 11 journal review papers in her career. Most Presidents and academics have that many published in one year! -Other recent examples have been the hiring by the FAA of airline pilots, military appointees, and gyms like Planet Fitness allowing transsexuals access to male/female locker rooms. 4. My view is people should be judged by performance, skill, and qualifications, not skin color, sexual preference, and ethnicity, something I would bet Reverend King would agree to. 5. The Biden Administration has given many positions based on qualifications other than merit. All one has to do is look at his picks for Cabinet posts, state department, appointees, and press secretary as proof. 6. DEI has morphed into telling you how you should think and what you should believe in otherwise you're racist. If you question some of the ideas spawned from DEI like transgenderism, BLM, Climate Change, and the Me-Too Movement, you might be ostracized, cancelled, or boycotted. Something more associated with Third World Countries. 7. These political ideologies listed in #6 use tenets of Social Marxism in my view. Their tactics are similar, if one speaks out in opposition or questions a view they are silenced. Our current administration has embraced these ideals using lawfare, character assassination, jail, and job termination as threats to maintain power. And on college campuses conservatives are shouted down, harassed, threatened and assaulted in some cases. Those are the same tactics used by Fascists, Nazis, and Marxists to keep control. Thanks for reading! Hope you found this post both informative and enlightening. This should help provide you with another perspective into what DEI is really all about beyond a definition in Wikipedia or some liberal's label. I'm so glad I was able to enlighten you on this misunderstood concept. Those who are seeking information about what DEI really is and want to look at the facts with an open mind will read this information. Sadly, those whose minds are closed will believe what they want to regardless of the facts. Thanks for reading and responding to my post...

All people should be judged by who they are and not by male or female or the color of their skin.
