I went shopping down town again yesterday. It was warm but cooler than the previous two days. My weather app said mostly cloudy, 35% chance of rain, so I put my mac in the trolley just incase but didn't wear it to go out in. I got up an hour late, so I set off an hour late, at 11:30am instead of 10:30am. I went round the top path round Stowe Pool as usual. I saw a cute. She was making these strange squeaking noises, and then I realised she was calling to her babies! Her babies followed her but they were rather large, almost fully grown. Further round I saw a gaggle of geese on the bank by Stowe Pool. A few of them were right on the top, right by the path. I didn't have my tablet with me, because I wasn't getting any photos printed, I'd already got all my June quota, so I said to myself, I would see something interesting seeing as I haven't got my tablet to take a photograph with! There was quite a nice breeze round Stowe Pool which stopped it from feeling too hot, Infact it was quite pleasant. It did spit a little bit when I was going round Stowe Pool, so I thought I'd put my mac on when I got to the toilet, but by the time I'd got there it'd gone off so I didn't bother. After I'd been to the toilet by the Cathedral I headed straight up to Holland and Barrett. When I was going there I saw Neil from Church. He said he'd been suffering in the heat. When I got to Holland and Barrett I got 2 bars of chocolate for my Mum, one milk chocolate and one white chocolate. But I had to get two different brands because there were no white chocolate bars available from the cheaper brand. The cheaper milk chocolate bar was £1.99, but the white chocolate, which was actually smaller than the milk chocolate, was Swiss chocolate and it was £3.49! I looked for some of my favourite raspberry liquorice, but they still didn't have any, although they did have some of the black. I didn't want to get any of the liquorice my Mum got me last time she got some, but on the shelf above there was some more different raspberry liquorice, or it might be strawberry, but it's red anyway! So I decided to try some of that for a change. I also got a large bottle of kombucha. I used to get the smaller bottles but I haven't seen any of the smaller ones in a while. Then I went to pay. After I'd payed for those I went to the new pharmacy and got my repeat prescription. There was absolutely no-one in there when I went in there. When I came out I noticed there were boards up around about 3 of the shops up the end of the Three Spires Shopping centre opposite the pharmacy and Costa coffee, and there were signs up on the boards warning us of DEMOLITION IN PROCESS! It made me wonder if that's going to be the new Marks and Spencer's we've heard we're supposed to be having? Then I went to the Tesco down town and got 2 lots of strawberries and some Sholer non-alcoholic stuff, because it's my Mum and Syd's Wedding Anniversary on Sunday, and we like to treat ourselves! Next I went to The Works to look for some watercolour paints, because I didn't know if I've got all the colours I need and also some of the lids are on so tight I don't know if I can get them off. I really wanted a set of 24 but I could only see a set of 12. I wandered round the shop to see if I could see any more. I saw watercolour travel sets but they had pans and I wanted tubes, and they had a watercolour starter kit which had pans and tubes, but they still only had 12 tubes, and I didn't need the other stuff that was included in the set so I thought I might as well get the 12 tubes on their own. I also saw some nice large black canvases while I was looking round too, so I decided I'd get the 12 tubes of watercolour paint and the black canvases. They were £5 each so I just gave the cashier a £10. Then I went off to Iceland (the shop not the country!) There was a street preacher out again in front of Waterstones book shop. Just as I was coming towards Iceland it started spitting. I took my mac out of my trolley before I put the basket on top and when I got inside I put my mac on. I got my Mum a Chinese style chicken curry and a sweet and sour chicken. She didn't want any paella. I also treated myself to another honeycomb flavoured areo. When I'd payed for that I set off for home. I didn't bother going to the toilet by the Cathedral, I thought I'd be able to last until I got home. When I got home I gave my Mum her change, club card and shopping list. Then I unpacked the groceries and put them away. I got home at about 1:15pm. My Mum was quite surprised I was home so quickly! I said I had been out for an hour and three quarters! I had my lunch and watched Home and Away. What have you lot been getting up to recently? I hope you are all well. Have a nice day.

@sharonelton Is liquorice a laxative? You mentioned, and I remember being told not to eat too much of it but maybe they were joking. Today I drove my wife up to visit her elderly aunt in hospital then we came home. I booked flights to Manchester ((and back) for August to see one of our daughters. Now I’m home alone feeding my face with buns.

Yes, black licorice should be eaten in moderation as it will work like a laxative. Have a good weekend.

Yes, if you eat a lot of it. Doesn't seem to be helping with my constipation though! Sounds like you had a busy day. I hope you enjoyed those buns!

Vince cooked a big piece of pork in Kombucha yesterday. I always see great photo opportunities when I don't have my camera with me.

Ooh. I never thought of cooking with it! Yes, it's frustrating, isn't it?

You did have a pretty quick trip to the market. This week has been quite busy, so today I am just relaxing and finally able to be here for a few minutes to interact.

The market? I didn't get anything from the market! Just shops! Yes, you need to relax after you've been very busy.

My pleasure. I hope you enjoyed coming with me. I'm having a good weekend, thank you very much. I didn't go to Church again today because I overslept again!
