We depend on our smartphones for a lot of things each and every day. The battery is a very important aspect of that smartphone. There have been a lot of advances in battery technology in the decade since the smartphone was first released. The development of lithium-ion batteries gets a lot of the credit for being able to hold a charge must longer than the older nickel-cadmium batteries.
Here are a few tips on longer phone battery life:
* Dimming the brightness from maximum can seriously impact battery life.
* Turning off Bluetooth and location services when not in use.
* Close any apps that you are not using.
* Disable both sounds and vibrations.

Some of those tips are a myth and don't really have any impact on battery health. For example, modorn phones are designed to allow you to run apps in the background. When an app isn't in use, it goes into an idol state and uses next to no power. It's actually believed needing to reopen an app uses more power because it causes a surge in cpu power to relaunch it.
You can use auto brightness on your device. This will keep it at the brightness needed based on the ammount of light. So, if you're using your phone in direct sunlight it'll be at max, but if you use it at night, or indoors, it'll be reduced to half to almost 0.
Location services don't have inpact on your battery that much unless you're using GPS. And, it's not a bad idea to keep them on, because services such as find my (Iphone) or locate my device(Android) rely on them if your device needs them for whatever reason. So, rather than turning them off completely, reduce the apps that use them. For example, does your bank need your exact location all the time? no. But, does the weather, yes.
Sounds and vibrations have no impact on a battery. Unless you're getting calls and messages every two seconds. So, it's okay to leave them on. Especially in situations when you might need to know someone's calling or messatig you.
Use low power mode when you reach 20 percent and this will prolongue the power in a pinch.
You can also get a cheep portable charger, too.
Most batteries with modare use, with no power-saving tips, typically get a person through a day. you might get another half by using power-saving tips.
