Day 174 – Faith Deuteronomy 8:1 “Every commandment which I command you today you must be careful to observe, that you may live and multiply, and go in and possess the land of which JEHOVAH swore to your fathers. 2 You will remember that JEHOVAH your Elohiym led you these forty years in the wilderness, to humble you and test you, to know what was in your heart, whether you would keep His commandments or not. 3 He humbled you, allowed you to hunger, and fed you with manna which you did not know nor did your fathers know, that He might make you know man will not live by bread alone; but man, lives by every word that proceeds from the mouth of JEHOVAH. 4 Your garments did not wear out, nor did your feet swell these forty years. 5 “You should know in your heart that as a man chastens his son, so JEHOVAH your Elohiym chastens you. 6 Therefore, you will keep the commandments of JEHOVAH your Elohiym, to walk in His ways and to fear Him. 7 For JEHOVAH your Elohiym is bringing you into a good land, a land of brooks of water, of fountains and springs, that flow out of valleys and hills; 8 a land of wheat and barley, of vines and fig trees and pomegranates, a land of olive oil and honey; 9 a land in which you will eat bread without scarcity, in which you will lack nothing; a land whose stones are iron and out of whose hills you can dig copper. 10 “When you have eaten and are full, then you will bless JEHOVAH your Elohiym for the good land which He has given you. 11 Beware that you do not forget JEHOVAH your Elohiym by not keeping His commandments, His judgments, and His statutes which I command you today, 12 lest—when you have eaten and are full, and have built beautiful houses and dwell in them; 13 and when your herds and your flocks multiply, and your silver and gold are multiplied, and everything you have is multiplied; 14 when your heart is lifted up, and you forget JEHOVAH your Elohiym who brought you out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage; 15 who led you through the great and terrible wilderness, in which were fiery serpents and scorpions and thirsty land where there was no water; who brought water for you out of the flinty rock; 16 who fed you in the wilderness with manna, which your fathers did not know, that He might humble you and that He might test you, to do you good in the end— 17 then you say in your heart, ‘My power and the might of my hand have gained me this wealth.’ 18 You will remember JEHOVAH your Elohiym, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day. 19 “Then it will be, if you by any means forget JEHOVAH your Elohiym, and follow other elohiym, and serve them and worship them, I testify against you this day that you will surely perish. 20 As the nations which JEHOVAH destroys before you, so you will perish, because you would not be obedient to the voice of JEHOVAH your Elohiym. God’s names: JEHOVAH – Self-existent, Eternal Elohiym – Supreme God Yeshuwa – Jesus Christos – Anointed One, Messiah Theos – Supreme Divinity God’s character: Tester Provider Defender When do you win? Isn’t it after you fought the battle? Many people fight their entire lives to get ahead, and believe they won nothing but dust. Moses reminded the people that every test they suffered, every battle they fought, only succeeded when they trusted JEHOVAH with the outcome. He made certain they had everything they needed. Their clothes didn’t wear out. Their feet didn’t swell. JEHOVAH provided food and water. They lacked nothing. Many Christians believe that accepting Yeshuwa as Savior and Lord will give them a quick fix out of their misery. That suddenly they will have everything they need. Christianity doesn’t work like that. You need to commit your life to Yeshuwa Christos. When Satan comes against you, you need to trust Yeshuwa that He will defend you and bring you through every trial. JEHOVAH will test your faith. He will bring trouble to you to find out whether you will trust Him, or fold under pressure. Consider Job’s life. Job 1:1 There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job; and that man was blameless and upright, and one who feared God and shunned evil. 2 Seven sons and three daughters were born to him. 3 Also, his possessions were seven thousand sheep, three thousand camels, five hundred yoke of oxen, five hundred female donkeys, and a very large household, so that this man was the greatest of all the people of the East. 4 His sons would go and feast in their houses, each on his appointed day, and would send and invite their three sisters to eat and drink with them. 5 So it was, when the days of feasting had run their course, that Job would send and sanctify them, and he would rise early in the morning and offer burnt offerings according to the number of them. For Job said, “It may be that my sons have sinned and cursed God in their hearts.” Thus, Job did regularly. 6 Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan also came among them. 7 JEHOVAH said to Satan, “From where do you come?” Satan answered JEHOVAH and said, “From going to and fro on the earth, and from walking back and forth on it.” 8 Then JEHOVAH said to Satan, “Have you considered My servant Job, that there is none like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, one who fears God and shuns evil?” 9 Satan answered JEHOVAH and said, “Does Job fear God for nothing? 10 Have You not made a hedge around him, around his household, and around everything that he has on every side? You have blessed the work of his hands, and his possessions have increased in the land. 11 But now, stretch out Your hand and touch everything he has, and he will curse You to Your face!” 12 JEHOVAH said to Satan, “Behold, everything he has is in your power; only do not lay a hand on his person.” Satan went out from the presence of JEHOVAH. Job had everything. He trusted JEHOVAH with his children, livestock, and everything he owned. JEHOVAH had placed a hedge of protection around him to keep Satan from harming him. Yet, to prove him, JEHOVAH allowed Satan to bring trouble to him, but he couldn’t harm Job. When you accepted Yeshuwa as Savior and Lord, He placed a hedge of protection around you. He also tested you and your faithfulness to Him. He wants to know how you will hold up under pressure. Consider the Parable of the Sower. Luke 8:4 When a great multitude had gathered, and they had come to Him from every city, He spoke by a parable: 5 “A sower went out to sow his seed. As he sowed, some fell by the wayside; and it was trampled down, and the birds of the air devoured it. 6 Some fell on rock; and as soon as it sprang up, it withered away because it lacked moisture. 7 Some fell among thorns, and the thorns sprang up with it and choked it. 8 Others fell on good ground, sprang up, and yielded a crop a hundredfold.” When He had said these things He cried, “He who has ears to hear, let him hear!” 9 Then His disciples asked Him, saying, “What does this parable mean?” 10 He said, “To you it has been given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of Theos, but to the rest it is given in parables, that ‘Seeing they may not see, and hearing they may not understand.’ 11 “Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of Theos. 12 Those by the wayside are the ones who hear; then the devil comes and takes away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved. 13 The ones on the rock are those who, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, who believe for a while and in time of temptation fall away. 14 Now the ones that fell among thorns are those who, when they have heard, go out and are choked with cares, riches, and pleasures of life, and bring no fruit to maturity.15 But the ones that fell on the good ground are those who, having heard the word with a noble and good heart, keep it and bear fruit with patience. JEHOVAH will test you as He did the children of Israel in the wilderness. He will test you to know whether you will trust Him in every situation, or if you will turn your back on Him and return to your former life. When you trust JEHOVAH with everything, Satan cannot come against you. He will try, but he will not succeed. Your faith, commitment, and love are built on Yeshuwa Christos. Then you will believe every word He gives you and trust Him with your life. He will provide everything you need and increase His blessings in your life. You will lack nothing. Malachi 3:10 “Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be food in My house, and try Me now in this,” says JEHOVAH of hosts, “If I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you such blessing that there will not be room enough to receive it. 11 I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, so that he will not destroy the fruit of your ground, nor will the vine fail to bear fruit for you in the field,” says JEHOVAH of hosts; 12 and all nations will call you blessed, for you will be a delightful land,” says JEHOVAH of hosts. Luke 6:38 “Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.” (NKJV) JEHOVAH gives the increase when you put your faith and trust in Him. Don’t let Satan steal your blessings. John 10:10 “The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. (NKJV) Are you ready to trust JEHOVAH with your life? He will defend you and provide everything you need for your life. Let’s pray: Father, help me trust You when Satan comes against me. Let me know You will defend me and provide everything I need. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen. Copyright © 10 July 2024 by Valerie Routhieaux The image belongs to me.

Wow! That's a long one. God is really faithful and divine, so trusting Him will never be a waste and a mistake no matter what we see at first, because at the end we are all victorious in His love and protection. And yes, all we need to do is to trust Him 100%, in little and bigger things. No matter how hard we fall as we follow hi, all we need to remember that He is divine and will never forsake us, no greater sin He cannot forgive, but He is not to test, because He don't tolerate when we intentionally abuse His grace, but He is forever a forgiving God and loving forever, just go back and trust Him forever, and never ever lose your faith in Him.

Job could not be harmed physically by being touched on his person by Satan, but I expect that he was harmed mentally, and his heart seemed to be tortured too, because of all the pain, and suffering, that he now endured for God allowing Satan to test him for him like that. Job was a great example for us all, to keep trusting God, even in the midst of our troubles.
