People started to faint on the street because of the heatwave

I live in Romania, Europe. This is not a tropical country. This year the heatwave will last 30 days. This didn't happen before. I know that it's summer, but there are almost 40 degrees Celsius. I tried to stay on my balcony for a few minutes and it's hard to breathe. The air is hot. Yesterday someone called an ambulance. We are lucky because we have AC. But many people don't have it. Some people never use their AC because they are afraid that electricity costs a lot. I am afraid that it costs a lot too, but I can't stand this heat. Maybe the bill will not be as high as we think. But we never had AC before. How is the weather where you live?
A sizzling heat wave has sent temperatures in parts of central and southern Europe soaring toward 40 degrees Celsius, or 104 Fahrenheit, in places

It is the same story everywhere . In India , normally the summers are hot .However, this time , day and night the temperatures were 30 C . It has been tough .We got air conditioning and have been using it since. The rains have not been heavy enough but it has become a bit alright considering the summer time. A lot of my friends in Europe and Us are reporting high temperatures. Do stay indoors and be close to an air conditioner. Do not think much about the electricity cost. Our comfort is most important and so plan accordingly!

The cost is better than heatstroke, so I hope people don’t overthink using their air conditioning. It is rare for someone not to have an air conditioning here because we can get to 40 Celsius in June, and go to 43 Celsius by August first. I’m not going to try to tough it out; I’m using my air.

We have moderate weather here and I have never experienced anything that calls for extreme measures.

It depends on how they couclate the cost where you live. The ac does use a lot more power, so it'll be higher than you're used to, but hopefully only for a month or two. Do you have/use heat? If so, then how high it goes in the winter is about what to expect.

I remember my years in living in Riga, Latvia I was miserable when a summer was cool and rainy because I wanted hot summers, We had some hot summers and everyone else looked really miserable but me and now that I have returned to the US the really hot summers in Europe have begun

It is hot in southwest Louisiana even though it is not enough for a heat warning to be issued even though I need to have the fan running inside my bedroom due to the hear that weakens me.

We have been in extreme heat with temperatures between 112 and 117 degrees. There has been a few people in my town that have passed away from the heat. I am also lucky to have AC and my bill is more than I can afford. But I have grown sons that help me with it. We can’t do anything outdoors in this heat.

It's been hot here too, but not that hot. I'm glad we have AC.
