Frugal Shopping: Mini Shein Haul. July 16th, 2024

One of the many side hustle apps or websites that I use offers gift cards/ gift codes for just about any store/website/app that you could think of, and one of the options I saw the other day when I cashed out was Shein. It had been about a million years since I had ordered anything from Shein so I decided to cash out my piddly little five dollars on that app and see what I could find on Shein. I picked out five items, and when I got my email confirmation with the order, it showed that I was getting a "bonus surprise item", so we will see what that is. I spent $4.07 of the $5 gift card I had and got: a silly "welcome to my crib" flag with a duck on it for she child's room, This actually is the only thing that I had to pay for with the gift card, and then the other items I got for free. Which was kind of nice . $4.07 Multi touch, multi light flashlight. It looks insane in the picture. Which you should be able to see in the collage picture with this post- if it posts. It's listed at $5.10 and I got it free! Solar Powered Battery bank and light. I'm pretty excited about this. We have been talking about taking the canoe out- and this would come in handy if it does work. It's listed at $8.50 and again, I got it free! 2.4 GHz Safety Camera with night vision, wireless blah blah blah indoor/outdoor. With all the crazy crap we have been dealing with- I decided even if it doesn't actually work. Having something that looks like a camera up would hopefully deter some people. This is listed at $13. 50 and I got it free! And the last thing I picked out was a Muscle massage gun. These things have been all over TikTok shop, my for you page, facebook ads and we've seen them in Target and Walmart for months. I don't have the money to shell out for a expensive one. So I figured we would try this one out and see if it's worth it then when we get our hands on some money- we'd get a better one. This goes for $16.00 and I got it free! So without the buy the flag get free items deal I would of paid: $47.17 total, but instead I paid $4.07. Which if my math is right is a savings of $43.10. Pretty great savings if you ask me! Plus there's some mystery item coming with this order too. It says its from house wares section of the website, so we will see what it is. Plus I guess I technically got a savings of $47.17, because I used a gift card! For awhile a couple years ago, I ordered quite a bit off Shein and we were pretty impressed with the quality. I actually wore a pair of leggings I got from them yesterday. Have you ever ordered anything on Shein? If so what?
