Went to Visit Jim, Our Friend

Yesterday, Jay and I stopped by Jim's home for about a 1/2 hour. Our friend Paul was there visiting, it was good to see him, too. Paul lost his wife Marilyn a couple years ago, they'd been married over 50 years. He's still adjusting to this painful loss. Also, their 38 year old daughter passed away, the very next month. His family is doing OK. I spoke to them about being distraught, last summer. I didn't go on to explain why. I was simply homesick! I wanted to go home, but couldn't. I hate it when someone says something and then, doesn't explain exactly what they meant. So,, I stopped by Jim's again today, to say why I'd been distraught and depressed. Now, I'm doing just fine! I simply hit a bump in the road, now it's all over and done with. In normal life, we all reach narrow bridges to pass over and endure rough times, that make us wonder 'why is this happening?' That's when I realized, I'm no different than anyone else. At times life seems to be unfair, for everyone ever born! Photo: Mine
