I've just been down town shopping again. I didn't need to get much today. My Mum just wanted me to get 2 lots of strawberries from Tesco so she gave me her Tesco club card and £5.
It is really hot today. Our next door neighbours are moving house today too. They're only moving up the road to Walkers Croft, but they're downsizing. The house they are moving from is rather big. Anyway, when I went out there was a big red removals van outside blocking our drive. They'd also got a ramp down blocking the path, so I had to go on the next door neighbour's drive to get round it. The removals men were very nice and said, We can move it if you need to get the car out, and, Can you get passed there OK? and I said, Yes, thank you very much.
I went round the top path round Stowe Pool again. It was very hot, but there was a nice breeze which took the heat off a bit, so that was nice.
I went round to go to the toilet by the Cathedral, but the one I usually go to was closed. There were some toilets opposite open, but those ones have steps going down, so I couldn't really navigate them with the trolley. So I went round to the other disabled toilet round the corner. It's not as nice as the other toilet, it's damp and a bit smelly.
After I'd been to the toilet I went and got some more photos printed. Then I went to Holland and Barrett to look for some raspberry liquorice and some kombucha. They didn't have the raspberry liquorice that I like best so I didn't get any liquorice, but I did get some raspberry flavoured kombucha. (See photo above.) And somebody had dropped some real raspberries outside Holland and Barrett! When I went back out somebody had trod in them!
Then I went to the down town Tesco to get Mum's strawberries, but they didn't have any! So I thought, I'll see if they've got any on the market! So I went to the fruit and veg man on the market and found some strawberries - but they were £3.99! So I just got one of them instead of 2.
I didn't need to go anywhere else then, so I went home via the cold, damp disabled toilet by the Cathedral! When I was in the toilet I decided I wanted to have a swig of my kombucha, so I opened the top. Ofcause, because it'd been in the trolley, it'd got shaken, hadn't it? So it started fizzing up, and it started coming over the top before I'd even taken the cap off! I held it away from me but I still managed to get it all over my one trouser leg!
I thought, I hope nobody thinks I've wet myself! But then I thought the heat'll soon dry that off. So I had a swig of my kombucha, and put it back in the trolley!
Then I went home. The removals van had gone when I got home which I was glad about because I didn't want to have to negotiate it again!
My Mum was supposed to go to the house group that meets down the church today, but when I got home she was in and she said it had been cancelled because Jean was ill.
I put the strawberries away, had my lunch and watched some telly. I had some of my kombucha instead of a cup of tea. I don't feel like cooking anything for dinner tonight in this heat, so I'll just have a banana and a packet of mini cheddars.
What are you lot getting up to today?
I hope you are all well.
Have a nice day.

The concrete crew started on our steps yesterday. I hope they can finish and put in the handrails soon. Have a good weekend.

@sharonelton I'd like to have it done by the time my husband comes home because the steps have been redone to be less steep and with the addition of the handrails, it's much safer.

@sharonelton I think it was ginger and something. I've never tasted Kombucha.

Wow! I've never thought of cooking with it. It's very refreshing and I'm glad I had it yesterday to drink instead of tea in that heat!

I finally got the mystery shop done that I was working on last week. It wasn't ideal, but I should get paid for it. Lots of traffic up in that area,,and on the way up and back..mostly due to road construction. I just love it..not!

@sharonelton It’s always a worry when next door moves out and you don’t know who’ll be moving in. Hopefully they’ll be lovely.

Oh, yes. I hope the new neighbours are nice. The people next door have lived there for years before we moved in next door. It'll be strange having someone else living there now.
