Most days lately except for today it has been very hot and humid outside. I like it warmer and some sun anyway because of my health issues. However in our apartment I have the smallest bedroom and the only place to put my bed is under the vent in the ceiling. My daughter and her boyfriend, when he stays over which is 2 or 3 nights a week like it freezing!!!!

And it being that my room is so small it holds the cold air!

So on these hot and humid days recently if I stay out it's hard to breath!

But if I come inside then I am hurting all over from the freezing temps.

You need to say something or find a balance. You could also close or partly close the vent. that way you don't freeze.

Oh, I have said something, they don't care! I bought a vent cover it would not stay up...... waste of money and time! So I put a maintenance request in and he came over and closed it. I still feel some cold air coming from there and I mentioned it and he has come over and checked it twice.

@dfollin A little is always going to escape when you close a vent. but it should be far less. You can always put your foot down with them and try to find a happy middle. George and I have to because I don't do heat as well.

@kaylachan Oh I have told her, but one thing is for some reason their room gets very hot. But they do like it very cold. I prefer it to be warmer but need the fan blowing in my face, lol.
