It was my birthday and my daughter and her son went to the store to get me a present. They know I love chocolate and they got me some!
She was letting her young son pick out something. He picked out something that he did not know was my favorite....... some red roses!

I don't mind looking at some flowers in photos or from afar in person but I'm not a flower person. Though roses and carnations have always been my favorite if I had to pick.

Chocolate and flowers are a perfect gift. I love all kinds of flowers but am partial to carnations. They have a spicy smell. Have a good weekend.

Carnation's are lovely. The can also be in a lot of various colors and not as expensive as roses. I remember getting green ones at St Patty's day, red for Valentines day, and pink for Easter. Oh yeah ! And the red, white and blue ones for July 4th! So much fun and the smell is awesome!
