We Were Invited to a Baby Shower

Our family does these things different. Whenever they plan a baby shower, it becomes a family gathering of men, women and children.
They asked everyone not to buy a gift, only to bring wipes or baby diapers!
My daughter called yesterday, she invited us to a baby shower for Caitlyn, her son Zachary's wife. Mari Lyn and Liz (Caitlyn's mother) are planning it.
This will be held at Zachary/Caitlyn's house, in Greenbush, Mi. They live about twenty miles north of Tawas. We are so excited about this time spent, with MariLyn and the kids!
Taylor/Brian will be coming also, with their three children. This is so wonderful!
And the weather this weekend is so nice, perfect for sitting outdoors under the shade of a tree:)
The food will be finger foods, a variety of cheese, sliced ham, assortments of crackers, a fresh vegetable tray, fresh fruits and of course, 2-3 desserts. Probably lemon-aide to drink:)
I love being able to fill my own plate, with only those things that I'm able to digest.
The men will go off somewhere, maybe to play horse-shoes.

Sounds like a fun time. 60 acres? They are truly blessed. My husband would love to have that kind of acreage. Have a good day.

Family affairs are so nice. A new addition soon. Fun! Diapers and wipe are always needs and can get rather expensive.

It sounds like it is going to be a lot of fun. The last shower I went to was my cousin's and her daughter is in college now, to give you an idea of how long it has been.

Their child is 1 1/2 years old. He got all kinds of gifts, from the shower and his first Birthday. The house is filled with baby supplies, all except for little girl clothing and diapers.
