Paris Olympics 2024 Watch : India overcome a fighting Kiwi Team to win 3-2 in Olympics Men's Hockey League Match

India began their campaign in Paris Olympics 2024 Men's Hockey with a 3-2 win vas New Zealand.
It was a hard fought win.
In the 8th minute of the match, it was the Kiwis who went up with Sam Lane's Penalty Corner goal. Mandeep Singh scored to give parity to India in the second half.
India got into the lead with Vivek Sagar's goal.
Simon Child put New Zealand back in action with an equalizer.
However, India earned a last minute penalty stroke and converted it to go up 3-2.
India will need to up its game against tougher opponents in the other league games as well as knockout ones.

It was thriller to watch . India got the act together in the second half and they were motivated and was able to withstand the pressure. New Zealand is not one of the strongest hockey team but still they gave their best and would reckon the lost chances. India would have to work well with forward and defence as they tend to be fragile at times. You are right to point that India needs to be on the top of the game ,as they will face tougher opponents in the next set of games. Lets hope they make it to knockouts!

Indeed a tough match !
Today India just barely managed to draw 1-1 vs Argentina, through a last quarter goal by captain Harmandeep Singh.

Yeah Aussies have dominated the Hockey matches vs India, especially during the last two or three years.
