Seems many Up-titled songs are one's that have a cheery vibe to them. And this Rolling Stones tune would be considered in that category. It's amazing how that band is just like the Energizer Bunny, they just keep going... So, with that, I'll conclude this 6-pack of a series on an "UP NOTE!" Your comments and musings on these picks, and your own favorite "Up or Down" titled songs or music trivia always welcome... ***START ME UP- THE ROLLING STONES (1981) -What a rockin' energetic song! "Start Me Up" is another Stones song with a sexually charged theme. What a surprise, lol. The track peaked at #2 on the charts held off by "Arthur's Theme (Best That You Can Do)" from Christopher Cross. "Start Me Up" became a staple at sporting events and is usually played before some kind of action or at the start of a game. Certainly a tune to stir up the emotions... *What's your favorite Rolling Stones song? So many good ones, but I'll go with "Gimme Shelter." Mary Clayton's background vocals singing that lyric "it's just a shot away" always gets to me. TRIVIA CHALLENGE ***Now for our trivia music challenge for those who like to play along. See if you can guess the artists, songs or facts. Words in "quote marks" provide valuable clues! 1. Fill in the blank: Reese's Peanut "_____________ Cup." That is part of this song title by the group "The Foundations." 2nd Clue: When you "boost" someone's confidence you are "_________" them up. You might recognize this tune from this lyric: "I'll be over at ten," you told me time and again, But you're late, I wait around and then (bah-dah-dah)." -Can you name this #3 1968 hit by The Foundations? 2. This band's most prolific and successful period between "1969 and 1971" produced fourteen consecutive Top 10 singles and five consecutive Top 10 albums in the United States. The group never had a #1 single during that time but did score five #2 hits on the Hot 100, the most of any act without a #1. Some of those big hits were "Proud Mary, Bad Moon Rising, Green River and Travelin Band." Their "UP-TITLED song peaked at #4. This tune is about having hope, saying as bad as things were "just around the corner or curve" it might get better. Their "lead singer John Fogerty," eventually went on to a successful solo career after the band's breakup. -Can you name this band and their UP-TITLED song? 3. "Up on Cripple Creek" is a song by this "Canadian American" group. These musicians gained recognition for "backing Bob Dylan" and the 1966 concert tour, Dylan's first with an electric band. They were known as the "Hawks" at that time, but later changed their name, embarking them on a successful career with songs like "The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down," and "The Weight." In 1978, the "movie The Last Waltz," was released showing footage from their last concert together in 1976. -Do you know the name of this group? Ok, let's "not give up" on scoring some correct songs and artists answers. If you're stuck and need additional hints just let me know in your response. I'll be glad to supply one. Or, as the Little River Band would say, "Help is on the Way." Thanks for reading and responding to my music post!!! I'll be taking a little hiatus for a while. As the group THE HAPPENINGS song says, SEE YOU IN SEPTEMBER... Source- Wikipedia & songfacts.com

My favorite Stones song is by Keith! “Before They Make Me Run.” 1. I’m not a construction worker, so I can’t build you up, buttercup. 2. Let’s see, that wouldn’t be “Up on the Corner” or “Down Around the Bend”…. Love CCR!!! Love that guitar intro to “Up Around the Bend,” too! 3. The name of The Band who did “Up on Cripple Creek” is on the tip of my tongue…can’t remember the name of The Band, though. Trivia: the final living member of The Band, with Robbie Robertson’s passing last year, is Garth Hudson. He just celebrated his 85th birthday!

I like Keith's tune "Happy." Good title too, lol. I'd say you were "up to the task" on this one as always. Nice additional trivia. Thought Robbie was the last of The Band.
