I've read this book three times, but it's still one of my favorite novels. Victoria Holt is the author, I really like her style of writing! When I was in High School, I read this book for the first time. Because I enjoyed it so much, I've read it over and over again, since then. A couple other books that Victoria Holt penned are "The Curse of the Kings" and "The Shivering Sand." These are two stories that I've never read, but I certainly will be in the near future. Victoria Holt also goes by another writer's name, it's Eleanor Burford. The East Tawas library will call me when this book comes in:) Photo: Borrowed from Pixabay

Is that a ghost story? Or is it a mystery? It sounds intriguing.

I don't think I ever read any of her books. They sound interesting. I might find one on my travels.

She's one of those old-time novelist writers, during the 1960s.

@kobesbuddy I have heard her name. I may have read one after all. I read so many books in my life that I forget some of them.

I remember Victoria Holt from back in the day. She was popular in the 70's. I read at least one of her books.

She did some romance novels, that always included murder and mystery.

I've always enjoyed Victoria Holt. I've read Mistress of Mellyn and The Shivering Sand among others. It's been long enough since I read them that reading them again would be like reading a new book. Enjoy.

That sounds familiar as if I might have read it many years ago. Have a good day.

It's great that you are able to order books from a library. I don't do it much now but I used to.
