Today I had yam curry with chapatis / myLot

Today I had yam curry with chapatis. Yam is called oal in bengali. It is very tasty. It is boiled and potatoes are added in the curry. Some essential spices are given. A small gravy helps in having the food with chapatis.

It has been years since I ate yam. Oal ka achaar is my all time favorite. Yam curry is so spicy and yummy. A little is enough to excite the taste buds.

@arunima25 yes Arunimaji there is a category forest yams which we call buno ol, use of tamarind neutralises the itch caused in the mouth. All yams are not like that.

@sathviksouvik It has to be cooked well and we have to add lots of lime juice or tamarind, else it can be very itchy.
