I'm holding up okay, but the heat is back with a vengance. It's ten minutes before 1, and it's already 90 and supposed to hit 91. Yesterday's high was 92, but it actually rose to 94. So that's not including the heat index.
Despite losing and burrying Chilly yesterday, George and I seem to be holding up okay. Though I swore I heard a cat's meow. Things like that would happen after all our animals crossed. It took a while to adjust. I kind of jumped the gun on opening a new box of formula, but now I'll be ahead by a day. Left the box out to replace what I use today.
Despite the heat, I'm pleased to hear the wind chimes going. It means we've got a breeze going.

These hot temperatures need to go!! We hit 92 today and also have a breeze! That breeze makes a big difference!!
I'm sorry to hear about Chilly's passing. I am behind on reading...again! But, I'm glad that you and George and doing okay. It takes time. Sending big hugs!

Yep loud thunder rumbling in the distance, I know how you feel but I tell you this as a comfort. My first cat visited often I felt her against my feet, heard meows, and once or twice saw dark shadows. She stopped coming when we adopted Sid because she knew we were all right. Just take it one day at a time,

So Chilly did pass away, this is a painful loss for you and George:( You might consider another cat, in the near future!

I need to get George feeling a lot better, first. As much as I would love another cat or two, I can't do it by myself. Chilly was easy, but I slacked off on doing his box. So, just need to get George more recovered, first.

@kaylachan Chilly was an amazing pet for 18 years, that's wonderful:) Focus on George's health and your life will keep improving:) It's hard work, but well worth every second!

Give yourself and George some time, as you say, you have a lot to do, and you need to concentrate on George being better. I know you keep him going as well as yourself, take care, Kayla.

I'm glad you and George are coping OK. We have temps in the 70s for a few days; so the cooler weather is welcomed!

We'll see a "cool down" but that's a high of 87 for us. But, then we've been beating record temps with highs in the 90's.

Glad you are doing good. I already had 2 other dogs when I lost Bunny and the house still felt empty. I understand how it feels.
