Went to WinnDixie today as I know they have the Electric Carts. When I rode into the store...OMG...NOTHING in the produce or Beer/Wine section. Hardly anything on any of the aisles. Then it hit me. Their last day of being totally open/stocked was July 31st. I had forgotten that they were being taken over by Aldi. There were signs of anywhere from 15%-40% off throughout the store. BUT...the prices on what was left...in the Meat section were totally unbelievable. Way More than they normally are, so on Meat you were not really getting ANY discount. a kind of large package of chicken wings $24.99! I dropped it out of my hands...WAY too much even for WinnDixie. Usually about 17.00. WinnDixie stores have the shrimp on sale, but not at this one. They are selling it for full price of $22.99- 20%. I went on and got it, since I had already planned to have them for supper. Wasn't much to pick from so I got what I needed...IF they had it...and left. Guess I will have to go to Lynn Haven if I want to go to WinnDixie.
