Not what I wanted to do today.

George wanted me to bring out a floor fan we'd been keeping in our third bedroom. Harder then he made it out to be. In order to make space, I dismantled one of the three cat litter boxes we had. Tossed out the old liter. I have two more to do the same for, but they can wait. Those who have (or had) cats know all to well how heavy cat litter can be. I should take the bin to the curb, but we had ourselves one of our famous florida thunderstorms. So, not interested in dealing with it right now. So, that was my afternoon.

As soon as that thunderstorm started my cats scattered. I hope you both have a good evening, I can see sun clouds forming over the Halifax River,

Yay. I think that storm is over for the most part. We need the rain, so I won't complain.

Cleaned the litter boxes we keep in the basement yesterday, and I was astonished. We had been gone Thursday through Sunday and I thought the wife had gone downstairs to clean the boxes when we got home on Sunday. But apparently she didn't. Those boxes were full. No wonder the cats were acting to weird. I thought they were just excited to see us. lol

That's one thing about cats. They can be stuborn when it comes to their litter. Chilly had three litter boxes to chose from. We decided to keep it that way. Even after Mama and Chinnia crossed. When George was in the hospital and then rehab, and I didn't have time to get to them all, he had three choices of places to go. Even if he favored the one in our bedroom.

@kaylachan We have two litter boxes in the basement and one in the garage. It seems to be that they use one more for the poops and the other for pees. The one in the garage seems to be a free for all.

That was a big rigamarole to get the fan out, I hope that things settle down now. We haven't had a cat, or a litter box in about 35 years. I do not miss it.

Quite frankly, neither do I. I know I have to dismantle them, but I'm in no hurry.

I can relate to dealing with cleaning out cat litter boxes that are heavy to get rid in the first place.

@porwest So did we. I still have a huge stockpile of the stuff, because George made sure we had plenty. And, it's going to stay that way. I don't know when or if we'll get another cat, but I'm not going to try and haul it out. Emptying the existing boxes, is heavy enough.

We just use clumping litter. Makes the job much easier and the litter lasts way longer.
