13 August - What I'm Thankful for Today

Good afternoon from hot, sunny Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA. The temperature is 82 F and feels like 83 F. Yes; it does.
It's been a good day.
I'm thankful for Bible study this morning. On the way, I suggested to my friend about having the Bible study at her apartment since she has so much trouble with Sam. Her dog has separation anxiety and barks when she's away from her, the whole time she's away. So, she can't leave him alone. Her sister can no longer watch him, and her grandson goes back to school in two weeks. When I brought it up at the study this morning, everyone who came agreed. So, in two weeks, the Bible study will be here.
I'm thankful I saw someone leaving this morning to go vote. I heard about it a couple of days ago and made a mental note about it for today and then forgot about it. When I got home from Bible study, I walked to the church close to here, and voted. So, I did my civic duty this afternoon.
I'm thankful I didn't get overheated in the walk to and from the church.
I'm thankful for the work I did on Guns of War this morning before Bible study and this afternoon when I got home. It's reading well with minor editing.
I'm thankful for the time I could spend with you today. It's always good to know how you are in your part of the world.
I'm thankful for the power nap I got this afternoon. It felt good.
I'm glad the mowers were here this afternoon. I don't remember them coming last week and the grass was long. Now, it looks good once again.

I'm thankful my husband called this morning. It was 1:45 am; but I was up anyway. We had a lot of things to discuss. Have a good day.

I'm thankful for how smooth today appears to have gone. George seems to be a bit more active, another thing I'm thankful for. Still spending more time than he should on the couch, but spending more time seated. He also had me refresh his Pepsi, which is always welcome.
I am thankful that so far we're having a rain-free day. For as much as we need the rain, we need a break.

Glad you remembered to vote.
Your friend could talk to her doctor about getting the dog certified as an emotional support animal also. That allows him to go more places with her.
I am thankful for a very relaxing day. It has been wonderful.

The dog is 17 and won't be around too much longer. He's slowing down more every day. She tried taking him to church once, but she said another member had a meltdown because she brought the dog to church. So, she hasn't done it since. Her pastor was good with it.

I am thankful for the good words I heard from a colleague. It inspired me and made my day. I was actually down and sulky with negative mindset from morning. I pushed myself to drive the car to office and well I was initially thinking of taking a leave. I did my prayers and perhaps that helped me to push the day which was not easy. Things have not worked well for me in some fronts for sometime. It has been hot day here as well 32C and drinking more water. Guess, would have to start using air conditioner to sleep at night. Glad to read about ypur day. Have a wonderful day ahead!

I'm thankful that I spent time with a friend in a park like atmosphere, the wind was blowing. Thankful just being alive and as well as I am. Glad you had a good day.
