I'm going to tell you about today's trip to the little Tesco, but before I do that I want to tell you about what happened yesterday after what I told you about Mum going into hospital. So, my Mum went off to hospital in the ambulance at around 10:30am yesterday. Syd was going to follow on behind in the car. He went off in the car at about 11:00am with a bag of some clean clothes for my Mum. He came back at around 3:15pm. I was in the downstairs toilet. He knocked on the door and said, are you OK? And I said, Yes. Then he said Where's Mum? I was a bit shocked because he was the one who phoned for the paramedics. So I said she's gone to hospital. And he said Which one? And I said Burton. She's in Burton A&E. I said You phoned for the paramedics. He said, No, I didn't. I came out of the toilet and Syd said, What happened then? And I told him all about what happened, then I said, Don't you remember? I went into the kitchen to start getting my dinner ready, and Syd came in and said, So, what happened then? And I had to repeat it all over again. Then he asked what the bags were doing in the kitchen. There was a bag with Mum's dirty clothes in that she'd soiled, and the bag with the clean clothes in that Syd was going to take to the hospital for my Mum. I told him what they were, and said, Those are the clean clothes you were going to take to Mum in the hospital. I said, Didn't you go to the hospital? And he said, No. So if he didn't go to the hospital I don't know where he was from 11:00am-3:15pm! Either that or he went to the hospital and forgot about it. But he brought Mum's clean clothes back, put them in the kitchen and then forgot about it, so I don't know. When he'd gone back up stairs and I'd had my dinner I messaged my friend Yasmin on Facebook messenger and told her all about it. Her Mum has got dementia and she said her Mum started like that. She told me to phone my brother Dave. I tried phoning Dave but it said, "Could not connect." So I tried Ali but it went to voice mail so I left a garbled message. Dave phoned a few minutes later. They'd got my message. Syd answered the phone but Dave couldn't seem to get much sense out of him so he asked to put me on and I explained everything. Syd seems a bit better this morning. He still doesn't remember anything about yesterday, but he does remember what I told him. So, this morning I went to the little Tesco. My weather app said rain, but I couldn't say I'm not going and get Mum to go, because of her not being here! I could have waited till the rain had gone over, but I wanted to get back for the start of Homes Under the Hammer! So I took some money out of Mum's purse, and her club card and set off in the rain. I had one of my macs on, but I chose the wrong one! The one I chose wasn't waterproof, whereas the heavier one is! It was coming down quite heavy! I posted some letters first. I got them out of my bag and posted them in the post box as quickly as I could so as not to get them wet! I opened the lid of the trolley to remove the pool of water that had gathered there, and some of it landed in the trolley! Then I headed off towards the shop. I got the 2 TV magazines first, and looked for a Doctor Who magazine. Sometimes they have Doctor Who magazine in the little Tesco. But I couldn't see one. So I went round and got just 1 chocolate croissant for Syd because Mum is not at home. Then I got his bounty bar, and an aero for me. Then I was going to get some bananas. There were no organic ones, that we like to get. But a saw one single banana of the non-organic, so I just got that for my lunch. We've still got some bananas but they've gone very brown. Then I got some strawberries, and some Alpen for me. Round at the end of the isle I got myself another notebook because I've got another idea of what to use that one for. Then I got 2 bottles of milk. I looked at the magazines again and thought, maybe if I look from this angle I'll be able to see a Doctor Who magazine. And, lo and behold, there it was! I grabbed that quick. Then I went to pay. I put the magazines and a few other things into an Iceland bag that was in the trolley to protect them from the wet. When I went out again it was just spitting and the sun was trying to come out. I put my hood up at first. But when I was coming round into my street a bit of breeze blew my hood off. But the rain had stopped altogether then and the sun had come out so I left my hood off. When I got home I took my wet coat off and hung it up on the back of my bedroom door. I went to the toilet. Then I went back in my bedroom and changed out of my wet trousers and put my painting trousers on. Then I realised I wasn't going to be able to sit in my wet blouse either so I put my painting blouse on too. When I came out of my bedroom I overheard Syd upstairs phoning Burton hospital and saying he was asking about Mum. I heard him say "I believe she's in there." And "Apparently she was brought in yesterday." So he still can't remember what happened yesterday. I put Mum's change in her purse, except for the coins which I put on the coffee table with the others. Then I unpacked the groceries and put them away. And now I'm watching Homes Under the Hammer, which is almost finished. So, what about you lot? How's it going in your corner of MyLot land? I hope you are all well. Have a nice day.

That's quite concerning about Syd. I hope he's OK. I hope your Mum is doing OK. Any news about her?

@LindaOHio My friend Yasmin says my Mum is fine and not to worry about her. She was on oxygen this morning and she's waiting for the surgeon because she might have gall stones that need to be removed! I thought, you tell me not to worry, and then you tell me THAT!? Then she said they said Syd should see a doctor because he might have a water infection. I said how do they know that? She said she could phone the doctor for me, but she'd need Syd's full name, birth date and full address. I said would my step-dad really want you phoning the doctor for him? He's reluctant to phone the doctor himself.

Yes, it is. He seems better today but he still can't remember anything about Monday. I've got no news about my Mum. My friend Yasmin is phoning the hospital for me. Thank you very much.

I'm sorry to hear about Syd. That isn't good news at all. I hope your mother is much improved now.

Are you able to contact the hospital concerning your Mom? You need to explain to them about Syd's not remembering things because you certainly don't want him making any important decisions for her.

My step-dad and my brother have phoned the hospital, and my friend Yasmin is phoning the hospital now for me. Thank you very much for your concern.
