I forgot to mention the supports

I’ve just written about a wooden map of Australia that is in the tourist centre in Narrogin, Western Australia. I forgot to mention the two ironwork kangaroos that form the support for the timber. You can’t see them very well in the main photo so I’ve enlarged them here for you to see. I think this is a really clever idea. I remember our farrier saying that, while he could make various things in iron, he was never very imaginative. Some people just have a gift for it I guess.

They are very appropriate for the huge lump of wood.

I love seeing other people's creations. I am like you farrier, I can make things that are useable plain and simple, but I'm not artistic in any way.

If I have a pattern or an idea, that helps a lot but coming up with something original isn't really my thing.

I think they look more like deer than kangaroo.

I like creating and seeing creative work. I just wish I had more time to be unleashed. Cool wooden map with iron work supports.

You could probably make photo supports, similar to these, in the shape of kangaroos.

I had to read the sign before I noticed them too. They'd look nice holding a photo frame.

That's very creative and beautiful! If you would have not mentioned it, I might have mistaken those kangaroos for deers.
