A topic for the writers. When it comes to enjoyment of writing, the experience could greatly defer between ballpoint and fountain pen.
Ballpoint pen provides smooth and consistent ink flow with minimal effort. Most ballpoint pends are designed for easy handling and ideal for most situations.
Fountain pens are known for their fluid writing style and charm. It offers a unique sensation that some find it pleasurable. I personally preferred fountain pen from school to college. I liked writing with pressure and style. It bought some confidence to my writing. However, now I use very less of fountain pen.
So what’s your preference - ballpoint or fountain pen?

Most of the people would have used fountain pens during school times. Ballpoint pens are more convenient choice nowadays. Thanks for sharing!

I haven't used a fountain pen for years (possibly decades). I had to use them at school but I found them quite scratchy, a pain to keep changing the ink, and I am too heavy-handed for such a delicate implement
I have found a particular type of ballpoint pen that is smoother and more comfortable - the ones with the rubber grips. I will use any pens, though. I get through them quite quickly and often lose them. I have a drawer with an emergency secret stash of pens.

Gel ballpoint pens are like a hybrid between ballpoint and fountain pens. Great point -ballpoint pens are less messy. Thanks for sharing!

I always made a mess with a fountain pen when I was a child as I´m left handed. So I have loved a ballpoint pen all my life.

@RevivedWarrior It is worse if you are left handed.
