The United States Coast Guard (USCG) in Fort Pierce Florida assisted the officials of the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation (FFWC) to assist a female manatee who was stranded on a sandbar on Thursday afternoon.
The manatee who is female and is 9.5 feet of length was examined by the (FFWC) to determine that the manatee could be returned to the sea since she was healthy enough not to be taken into a rehabilitation center.
How long was the manatee stranded in the sandbar is not known.

Nice to know that you are kind to an opossum that came to visit you and her baby by feeding them leftovers.

I believe that manatees are also rare animals that need to be saved as well.
