is it better or worse to eat little by little?

I was hungry and was planning to make a potato salad with potatoes that were not cooked yet. I still have some of my tuna mousse so I made new homemade mayo and ate that. The salad can wait now. I added 2 eggs and will make my salad with eggs, dill pickles and mayo. A nutritionist once told Dixie to eat a little but every 3 or at the most 4 hours between each meal. I could eat like that. I love to eat but don´t like to eat too much at one time. Fortunatly I can eat all I want. I don´t have diabetes. Lately, I have discovered that even very young people have diabetes. I would bet that it has to do with poor eating habits and a very sedentary life. My friend Humberto is the last person I learned had diabetes. Dixie found some pills hidden in his night table first drawer He does not eat at night and thinks that this is enough. But he has forgotten that alcohol is worse than sugar. And that couple of months sailing with only men aboard were the most unhealthy thing for them all. They all came back several pounds overweight. And the weight is all in the tummy. Here we call it "beer tummy". I will make and eat my potato salad after my nap. I was happy enough with the mousse. How are your eating habits?

I do the same. I love to eat delicious food but not in great quantities.

I eat one big meal (lunch) and one smaller meal (dinner). I have read that people with diabetes, as well as some weight loss programs, are encouraged to eat multiple (4-6) smaller meals during the day because it stabilizes the blood sugar and keeps one from feeling hungry.

Maybe that´s why Dixie does it. I do it because I love snacks. My biggest meal is lunch but not even then can I eat too much now.

I try to eat three healthy meals. Sometimes I have to have a treat in between.

I just got my groceries delivered but it takes me a while to adjust to a full fridge so I sort of peck for a few days, I had some frozen pizza bagels I heated up and had some ice cream sandwiches, However, this time I have also ordered yogurts and fruit cups so that in the mornings I can quickly eat a little, Then I will start putting meals together for myself,

I eat 3 meals a day with my largest meal being at lunch time. I will snack on something like a muffin in the late afternoon. Have a good week.

I have some for breakfast-- how much depends on how hungry I am. But it is never a lot. Then at noon, I have a big lunch/dinner for a meal. Maybe I will have something small for later in the evening, but chances are I will stop eating when I finish eating lunch/dinner from 12:30 p.m. to 1 p.m. However, thanks for sharing the idea of eating little by little

I don't have Diabetes either. Thank goodness. I like the idea of several small meals every 3-4 hours. I think a big breakfast, small lunch, and small dinner would fit me just fine. My eating habits are not that good. I don't eat any breakfast and just have dinner about 6p. Then I snack.

Sounds like you've got a solid plan with your potato salad, and it's great that you’re mindful of your eating habits! I try to balance things out with regular meals and snacks, but I’m always up for hearing about other people’s routines.

I use to be a somewhat big eater on certain foods but since I landed in the hosp last year cause of my gal bladder & pancreas failure I've learned I have t-2 d & can't eat the foods I use to eat cause my pancreas has been damaged from my gal bladder & about killed me twice, so I don't eat a lot just enough to kill the hunger & to keep my sugar in check through the day.
