Attractive girls are a topic of interest for many songwriters and musicians when coming up with song titles. Afterall, what "red-blooded" male could resist the charms of a "Beautiful Girl." With that, here are my favorite selections for this week using "GIRL" in the title... Your comments and musings on these picks, and your own favorite "feminine titled" favorites or music trivia always welcome... ***BEAUTIFUL GIRLS- VAN HALEN (1979) -Although this single was not a hit for the band, this tune helped boost album sales. David Lee Roth fancied himself a "ladies' man," so, of course, a tune about being surrounded by some beautiful girls fits his image and makes for good song material. *This energetic song grew on me after a few listens thanks to Eddie Van Halen's guitar playing and the background vocals.
