My Take on the Presidential Debate

I think that Trump did a very good job of maintaining his composure and being polite. Much better than he has done in the past. I did notice that it was Harris who went over to Trump's podium and extended her hand, not Trump. He did get very animated and intense at several points. Harris was posed and collected through most of it. Harris brought out his strategy to bring people down, make them feel negative, and then he can say he will make all this horror we live in now so much better if voted back into office. She told the world how she wanted to help lower-income people and new home buyers. She wanted to help new families and students. And, when asked straight out how he would actually change the medical program in place now he would only say that there were some options in the works. Trump was big on his supposed great relationship with those in power of China and Russia. Harris tried to get it through to him that wasn't very impressive. To be big pals with dictators. She also tried to make it plain what NATO meant to our relationship with other countries. He just doesn't get it. He made comment about where's Biden. Where's the current President? He doesn't seem to have any values or grace. Biden is keeping out of the limelight and letting Kamala have it. He plays by the rules and does what is 'honorable'. A word Trump knows nothing about. What a PUTZ!
Talk about two polar opposites. One talks about blood and violence, negativity and ugly statements about awful our lives are. The other one talks about positive out comes, things we have to look forward to in the future, a future to look forward to.
I think it was a good debate.

I hope so. I doubt there will be another one since Trump feels he won this one and that there is no need.

@celticeagle He does not think that. At some level, he has to know the truth.

@TheHorse .......Have you ever done a deep dive and looked into how psychopaths and narcissists think?
They aren't like us. Tunnel vision and self-love to the ninth degree. A liar has to believe his lies or it doesn't work. Trump believes he is the almighty's gift to humankind. He can do no wrong and certainly knows no truth but his own.

I hope that the VPs will also debate because there is a huge difference between Pence and Walz. Have a good day.

@TheHorse ......No. He was asked about his health plan were he to be elected. One that he has supposedly had in the works for over a decade now. He says he is looking at options. Oh, and he brought up what a great relationship he had with Putin. That he could end that war very quickly. And, like Harris retorted, Putin would have him for lunch.
