Friday the 13th

Almost all of us have seen superstitious people around us. Some believe in some kind of superstitions and some in others. We have even seen sportsmen who believe in a particular type of thing that gives them luck. Some of them will wear particular jersey numbers or some of them will where jerseys with a particular color. Some even start a certain work on their lucky day. We have even seen businessmen being superstitious. That's not wrong to be superstitious. For those who believe in this, they will call it faith or something like that. Today is Friday the 13th. And this is one of the most superstitious days in the circle. What's the story behind it? I have heard about this day and date for a few years now. But I don't know what's the reference or what the incident is behind this, so this particular day's and date's combination has been mentally marked to be superstitious.

Superstitions are here to stay as there are countless who believe in them. It is only after reading your post that I realised today is Friday the 13th (lol)

Yeah, because superstition is also a kind of faith in something. And that's entirely a personal thing. What we feel if superstition is a matter of faith to the other. And because of this thin line between faith and superstition, both are here to stay. And I had realized about Friday the 13th at the very start of the month. I'm habitual to browsing through the new month when it starts. But I too later forgot.

Kandase is right about Friday the 13th. I'm not superstitious; but I know when it's Friday the 13th. Have a good weekend.

Yes right. When this day-date combination comes it's easy to recall. Because it's kind of unique. And this combo doesn't appear that regularly. The next, by the way, will come our way this coming December. You too have a nice time!

Very true. You don't know, anything can happen on any day. Also the flip side of what you said could be like, nothing untoward happened on this superstitious day. So I entirety agree with you!

Faith, superstition, belief etc are all very subjective and individual traits. It's up to us if to have faith or to be superstitious.

Yes, in our daily routine it's not possible to keep an eye on everything around us.

They say it probably started in the Christian religion. During the last Supper Judas Iscariot was the 13th guest -- he betrayed Jesus...

That's the reference I was looking for. Thanks for making me aware of this. Looks like there's something to refer to and dig deeper. Thanks again
