Yesterday's shopping trip down town.

Yesterday I went down town shopping again yesterday. I checked my weather app before going out, and it said 0% chance of rain until 8:00pm, so I didn't take a coat. After I'd been to the toilet by the Cathedral I went and got some more photos printed. I got the same ones of my brother's dog Impy that I got for my Mum and Syd, and one landscape and one picture of chess pieces to draw. Next I went to the post office and got 8 first class stamps for my Mum. I had four "Belated Birthday Wishes" cards to post for my Mum, so I put a first class stamp on each of those and posted them immediately in the post box in the post office. Then I went to Holland and Barrett and got some raspberry flavoured liquorice again. They were on offer, 3 for the price of two, so I got three. After that I went to The Works and I got three packets of cards and envelopes, one packet of white square cards and envelopes, one packet of white rectangular cards and envelopes and one packet of multi-coloured rectangular cards and envelopes. I also got two pads of coloured glitter card. The cards and envelopes were £3.50 per pack and the pads of glitter card were £3 each. I also got a bag to put them in for £1. Next I went to Iceland. (The shop not the country!) My Mum hadn't used her sweet and sour chicken because of being in hospital, so I just needed to get Syd's Chinese Style Chicken Curry. Mum also wanted a paella again. I went to the freezer where the paella used to be, but it was now filled with vegetables! So then I spent I don't know how long going round Iceland looking in every single freezer looking for the paella! I couldn't find it anywhere. I got my sea bass, three packets for £10, and I got some strawberries. Then I managed to find a paella, but it wasn't the usual one, which comes in a bag. This one is in a plastic tray and it's from Slimming World. So when I'd payed for those, I headed off home, with a quick stop off at the toilet by the Cathedral on the way. As I was coming up towards the Cathedral I saw the little cat that lives round there somewhere. I tried calling to it, but it just looked at me as if to say, Yeah? Whatdya want? When I came back after I'd been to the toilet he'd gone. When I got home I unpacked the groceries and put them away. I told Mum all about the paella adventure! Then I had my lunch and watched some telly. Today I'm making some more cards again. What are you getting up to? I hope you are all well. Have a nice day.

Nothing going on here. Weekends are very quiet and lonely without my husband. Have a good day.

I hope you enjoyed your day despite there being nothing going on. I'm sure they are, I can understand that, and I hope he will be home soon. You have a good day too.

Sometimes if something isn't in the packaging you're used to, you can't find it - like your paella.

Yes, that's true. But this was a different brand of paella that I did get. My Mum hasn't had slimming world paella yet! I couldn't find the other at all.

@sharonelton I’ve roasted some salmon and sweet potatoes and made a tomatoey and chilli sauce to go on the side. I’ve done very little else.
