An Interesting Exercise For Curing Writer's Block

Good morning, Dear Ones. I have found a cool way to cure writer's block. Asking an AI assistant questions about various topics and then writing about the experience. For example: I asked Copilot about everything from the poet Emily Dickinson to recipe ideas. While it won't answer some questions, it can be very educational. Have you ever tried this sort of exercise yourself? If not, would you?

Most of the time, if writer's block occurs, I simply try creative writing exercises, or just start writing about nothing in particular. It doesn't cure it right away, but before you know it, you're writing again. I don't particularly like AI. It doesn't mean I don't sometimes use it. But I find it can be more of a crutch than a help. An example, I guess, would be my Schnickelfritz piece. It's not great writing, but it did come from a writing exercise. Look around the room, find something interesting or not so interesting, and see what you can come up with to either describe it or make something up entirely from it.

@jnrdutton AI will have its uses for sure. One area where I have used it more is to improve titles, for example. It can be helpful to make titles more solid.

I basically quizzed the thing on things I already had an interest in, I just wanted to experiment to see what would come from the 'conversation' and I found it quite interesting. @porwest

I don't like using AI for inspiration. If I have writer's block, I simply wait for a better time. I'm glad the AI works for you. Have a good weekend.

@LindaOHio I do understand not everyone is open to it, that's cool if you aren't. I just thought I'd mention it for anyone who might be, because I do find it can be a great help for some things.
